PASSO is the Hampshire Music Service string orchestra for children in and around Petersfield. It is run by the fabulous Helen Downham and rehearses on Wednesdays, weekly 5pm to 6pm at The Petersfield School. It is for strings grade 1+.
If you are a string player then the more music making the better - do consider going to both PASSO and Petersfield Children's Orchestra!
Petersfield Chamber Choir

Petersfield Chamber Choir is a friendly adult group of sight-reading vocalists. We put on three concerts a year, with mostly unaccompanied programmes in spring and summer and a larger concert with instrumentalists in December.

Incorporated in May 2023, the Southern Music Project are a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to enriching the Havant and Waterlooville communities through music.

At the Southern Music Project, we believe in supporting everyone's musical journey. Whether you’re a beginner, pursuing a personal music goal, or looking to reconnect with singing or playing an instrument, we provide inclusive, supportive, and affordable access to music education and musical opportunities.
What We Offer
We currently offer brass, drum, guitar, harp, piano, singing, violin/viola and woodwind lessons in the Havant and Waterlooville areas. Our goal is to expand our music tuition offerings to reach more aspiring musicians in the community.

Southern Pro Musica
The professional chamber orchestra Southern Pro Musica has developed a strong reputation for the quality of its performances during the past 35 years – both in orchestral concerts and also in partnership with many of the leading major choirs in the south. Under the artistic direction of Jonathan Willcocks, Southern Pro Musica draws on the many fine freelance professional musicians choosing to base their careers in London and the south of England, and has developed a strong educational element to its work in its desire to reach out into the community. Concerts for children and families - often during the daytime - are a regular part of every season, in addition to evening performances given in a wide range of venues.
